VM & A Consulting Engineers S.A., based in Athens and specializing in engineering and consultancy services for environmental infrastructure, is seeking a Junior Engineer to support a project in solid waste management and recycling.
This is a full - time position requiring daily on-site presence at the project location in Athens, working closely with the company's team
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, review and analyse data on separate waste collection and recycling programmes.
- Communicate daily with municipal departments to collect data and monitor recycling activities.
- Contribute to proposals for improving recycling networks and prepare technical and informational material.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Basic knowledge of solid waste management and recycling.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Very good command of English.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to data accuracy and ability to meet deadlines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable Qualifications
- Some initial professional experience in a related field.
- A postgraduate degree or dissertation related to waste management, recycling or the circular economy.
- Knowledge of GIS and experience in data processing.
